Nativity! The Musical

2017 saw the world premiere of Nativity! The Musical. Based on Debbie Isitt's (I Should Be So Lucky, Christmas on Mistletoe Farm) 2009 smash hit film of the same name, she also wrote, directed and co-composed the musical. The show was produced by Jamie Wilson Productions along with The Birmingham Rep, Coventry Belgrade and Ramin Sabi.

Brought to life by a cast that included some of the UK's finest musical theatre talent, led by Simon Lipkin (Oliver!, Elf the Musical) as Mr. Poppy, Daniel Boys (Hamilton, Falsettos) as Mr. Maddens and Sarah Earnshaw (Mamma Mia!, Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em) as Jennifer Lore, Alex played the roles of Child Gordon Shakespeare and principal St Bernadette's student Ollie as well as having a second track playing Oakmoor student Rupert. Every week he performed, Alex would rotate between playing Child Gordon / Ollie and Rupert.

Nativity! began it's life with a residency at The Birmingham Rep before embarking on an extensive UK tour which included a stay at London's Eventim Apollo where Louis Walsh joined the cast as the Hollywood Producer.

The 2017/18 tour of Nativity! enjoyed stops at the following venues:

• Southend Cliffs Pavilion (15 - 19 November)

• Sheffield Lyceum Theatre (22 - 26 November)

• Manchester Palace Theatre (29 November - 3 December)

• Plymouth Theatre Royal (6 - 10 December)

• London's Eventim Apollo (13 - 17 December)

• Leeds Grand Theatre (20 December - 6 January 2018)

Recorded during the show's run, the Nativity! The Musical Original Cast Recoding was released digitally and on CD on 29 January 2018. Comprising of 29 tracks, the album has been available for purchase at the merch stand of every subsequent professional production.
